Pinkie featured imageMeet Pinkie. She is one of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet. She came into my life a few years ago after my other dog, Lulu, was stolen from me by a pack of coyotes. When this situation occurred, I was devastated and at times grieved because Lulu was so special to me and Phyllis. I cried out to the Lord for help and immediately I had my answer—find a dog that needs to be rescued and take her in like I did Lulu.

I found Pinkie through a rescue operation in Southern California, and at the time, she was malnourished and living on the streets of Tijuana, Mexico. There was a picture the agency sent me of her that spoke volumes to my heart. It showed the place where she was being kept—it was a large pen with many dogs in it. Most of the dogs were interacting with each other, but not Pinkie. She was in a corner by herself and looked scared and helpless. I couldn’t wait another day after seeing this.

I purchased an airline ticket right away and flew from Nashville, Tennessee, to San Diego, California, arriving in San Diego at 11:00PM. I had someone pick me up and carry me to a parking lot to make the exchange—Pinkie for cash. We (Pinkie and I) then went to a nearby hotel to stay the night and flew out early the next morning back to Nashville.

This story is a perfect illustration of GRACE! When God created Adam and set him in the garden, He fully intended for Adam to live out all of his days in the fullness of the glory that God gave him. But you know what happened—Satan slithered in and stole that glorious position from all mankind UNTIL the time came for Jesus to RESTORE that position with God.

Ephesians 2:4-8: But God, who is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) and hath raised us up together and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: that in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. FOR BY GRACE ARE YE SAVED THROUGH FAITH.

There are three words in this passage that changed everything…GRACE, SAVED, FAITH.

GRACE…Just like Pinkie had no way of getting help unless someone saved her, we too had no hope without the grace God extended toward us. He saw us alone, scared, and helpless. We didn’t deserve it—but it did not stop Him from giving it to us.

SAVED… Before Satan made his entrance into the garden, there was NOTHING Adam lacked, but after the fall, he lost it ALL. Salvation is the restoration of EVERYTHING Adam lost—strength, health, dominion, authority, ability, prosperity, and wisdom.

Salvation begins in the spirit and affects every area of your life. God looked down through the ages to the year 2016, and saw YOU! He saw the situation you are in—the help you would need, the wisdom you would need, the health you would need, the prosperity you would need—and He provided THE way to access it all.

FAITH…Faith receives and possesses what grace has done. First Timothy 6:12 says, Fight the good fight of faith… Faith is a fight! If you’re going to live the life God has for you, you’re going to have to fight off feelings and determine to win according to God’s Word.

Remember this, Satan trips us up the same way he did Eve, “…has God REALLY said?” The only way to not fall for Satan’s lies is to be a stickler for the Word. Know what the Word says, believe what the Word says, speak what the Word says, and refuse to take anything less! This is how you fight the fight of faith, and if you will do this, you will wind up in the salvation arena every time.

God reached out through grace, but faith reaches back to receive it. My friend, God went to great extremes to restore to us everything that Adam lost in the garden. When I saw that picture of Pinkie sitting alone in that pen, something happened in me, and I moved heaven and earth to rescue that little dog out of a life of fear, lack, and weakness. HOW MUCH MORE has our Father seen it all and provided the way for us to live the life He imagined for His children.

When I first took Pinkie in my arms, she was shaking uncontrollably. She didn’t know who I was or what was about to take place. Little did she know that in the dog world, she just won the lottery! It did not take long before Pinkie learned who she was and what she had. Today, she bosses ALL the dogs around. She may be small, but she knows she is top dog on the tier!

What is it that you need today? What is it that you desire to see restored? If you will fight the fight of faith, it will come into existence.

In closing, I want to give you a scripture that Phyllis and I have latched onto since the beginning of this year. Isaiah 42:22 says, But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses: they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith, Restore. Too many people keep quiet about what they want, but there comes a time when you must demand some things. If you want restoration, then say it; contend for it. The word restore has been in our mouths since January 1, 2016, and we are seeing it. Glory to God!

I say…RESTORE!!!!
