I firmly believe we are living in the last days. There is evidence of it all around us. In the last decade this world has changed drastically. The message of Jesus is being preached in more places than ever before, and it is an honor to work together with those whose hearts are united in reaching as many lives as possible before the return of our Lord.

Phyllis and I just returned from a powerful time of ministry in the nation of Nigeria. This was the third time I ministered there, and I was tremendously blessed to witness the positive change in Nigeria’s spiritual climate, compared to thirty years ago. God is doing a mighty work there.

John 3:16 says that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son… God gave because He loved! We too get to do the same thing…we give because we love, and I want to thank you for your support to help make this trip possible. Because of your prayers and finances, the people experienced the love of God and the spirit of faith was imparted to them.

Do you remember the story Jesus told in Matthew 7 about the wise man who built his house on the rock? The Bible says that the rain descended, the floods came, the wind blew, and beat upon that house, but it fell not for it was founded upon the rock. The rock, of course, is the Word of God. The Word is the ONLY sure foundation for success in any area of your life.

In the last few months, 95% of prayer requests coming in have to do with finances. As I mentioned earlier, we are living in the last days. This world has practically nothing to offer you as a believer. If you want your house to stand, it must be founded upon the foundation of the Word, and the Word of God has everything to say about your prosperity.

Notice in this passage in Matthew 7 that the storms came to both the wise man and the foolish man. The wise man may have even experienced a few shingles knocked off and shutters knocked around but his house still stood.

Recently I expressed the necessity of protecting the image of the Greater One in you by not allowing the talk of the world to be your talk. This is imperative if you want your house to stand.

When you give a financial gift, do it with purpose and speak the Word over your seed. When I was a kid, I loved planting seeds into the little Dixie cups. I always got so excited because I knew that after I planted the seed and was diligent to water it and give it the attention it needed, I would see the plant come up out of the ground.

Every time you give—whether it is to your local church, a mission trip, your family, or any other ground you sow into, get excited as you anticipate the harvest on that seed. In the meantime, as you wait to see it come to fruition, water it and care for it by speaking God’s Word over it. Keep your talk in line with what God’s Word says concerning you. Guard the image of the Greater One in you, and guard the image of your harvest.

I am including a message this month on the subject of seedtime and harvest. I preached it many years ago to my church, and this revelation set me on a course for life. I will never stray from it. It works when the economy is good, and it works when the economy is bad. It’s the Word of God, and it works the same yesterday, today and forever!

Thank you again for all you gave toward our trip to Nigeria. Your seed went into good ground, and I believe you will see harvest on your seed.

Blessings,

Rev. Scott Webb
