The End of the Lord

February 1, 2025

your year

Have you ever been eager to see an end to specific situations in life? Did you know that you’re not alone in that desire? The Lord desires the same thing for you, yet He has a particular “end” in mind for your situation.

James 5:11 says, “Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord: that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.”

Notice the phrase…the end of the Lord. What does that look like? And how do you obtain it?

First, notice how James referenced Job when speaking of the end of the Lord. What did his end look like? It was one of significant restoration. Job 42:10 AMP says, “The Lord restored the fortunes of Job when he prayed for his friends, and the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.”

If the Lord gave him twice as much as he had before, then you can know that was a significant restoration because, in the first chapter of Job, we see that he was a man of great wealth with his family around him.

Though God restored Job’s fortunes and family, someone who is genuinely restored also has their joy, fulfillment, peace, love, purpose, and strength restored to them. This, my friend, is what true restoration looks like. It’s more than material things being restored; it includes every spiritual blessing Jesus purchased for us in our redemption.

The next time you think, “I’m ready for this to end,” think about the end of the Lord because that is the end you really want.

The next question we want to answer is how we experience the end of the Lord. Below, you will find five things you can do to experience His end.

  1. Feed your faith by reading your Bible daily. My spiritual father, Kenneth E. Hagin, used to say, “Feed your faith, and starve your doubts to death.” I love this, and I live by this.

This simple practice of reading your Bible is paramount because a life of faith is the only route to restoration. Whether you’re facing a challenging situation now or not, reading your Bible will give you answers when questions arise.

  1. Choose to think about what God is speaking to you. Every thought that enters your mind does not have to be entertained. You have a choice to make with what you focus your attention on. Avoid feeding on things that can weaken your faith or cause confusion. Instead, focus on God’s promises and His faithfulness.

In Matthew 6:25-26 Jesus was very clear about what to think about when questions arise concerning provision. He said, “Consider the birds.” Have you ever stopped long enough to do this? Or do you allow the worries and pressures of life to consume your thoughts? Choose to think about what God has said to you, and let His Word be the anchor for your soul.

  1. Pray in the Spirit daily. Engage in regular prayer, especially praying in tongues, to build up your spirit and align yourself with God’s will. The Holy Spirit is our Helper, and praying in the Spirit allows us to tap into His power and guidance.
  1. Speak God’s Word. Use your tongue to declare God’s Word over your life. Your words have the power to shape your reality, so speak life, healing, and restoration into your circumstances.

When Job turned his sorrowful talk back to faith talk, he got on the path that led to the end of the Lord for him, experiencing God’s marvelous restoration. Always remember that God has given you authority through your words.

  1. Never miss an opportunity to act on the Word of God. Be a doer of the Word, not just a hearer. When opportunities arise to apply God’s Word in your life, seize them. Let your actions reflect your faith, whether it’s sowing a seed, sharing the Gospel, or speaking a word of encouragement.

Though these five things seem basic, they truly are vital to you experiencing restoration in your life. God spoke very clearly to me about this year being marked by manifestations of restoration. When President Trump was sworn in on January 20, everyone witnessed a manifestation of restoration, and this year has just begun.

Friend, keep your faith stirred for manifestations of restoration. For whatever you may be facing today, there is an end of the Lord available to you, and I believe you will see it!

We are thrilled to be going into new nations this year! In April, we will be ministering at a Pastor’s Summit in Rome, Italy. After that, we will travel to South Africa to minister in another conference. God is doing wonderful things throughout the earth. Thank YOU for helping us go and impart the spirit of faith!
