newsletter 2Happy New Year! When a new year rolls around, many people approach it with anticipation and expectation for a greater year than they had before, and as a child of God, you should too!

At the beginning of last year, the Lord spoke to me that 2014 would be a “14-er” for those who would receive that word, and by faith apply it in their lives. We had several testimonies throughout the year of this word coming to pass, but one businesswoman in particular stands out to me.

She had a small business she worked for several years in addition to her full-time job. For the last four years she produced about the same amount of business every year. One thing that spoke to her heart was this, “…2014 is the year that Deuteronomy 8:18 works!” Deuteronomy 8:18 says, But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee the power to get (produce) wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day. She took hold of this scripture and said it over and over again throughout the year, which developed an image on the inside of her concerning her business. By the end of 2014 she had produced more than 7 times the amount of business than in previous years. Glory to God!

Joshua 1:8 says, This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that THOU mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: FOR THEN THOU SHALT MAKE THY WAY PROSPEROUS, AND THEN THOU SHALT HAVE GOOD SUCCESS.

Notice that success and prosperity hinges upon what YOU do. If you are dissatisfied with your life, BE NOT DISCOURAGED! You have the opportunity right now to change the course of it, and it is not hard.

First of all, recognize that your prosperity has been bought by the precious blood of Jesus. Many people HOPE for a rich relative to leave them an inheritance, but you don’t have to hope for it—it’s a reality. Jesus left you all the prosperity you could ever need or want when He died on the cross and defeated Satan in the depths of hell.

Once you receive that revelation, you can then start appropriating your prosperity by faith, and you do that by the WORDS you speak.

Remember the story of Abraham—he was without a child, and he was certainly not getting any younger. God demonstrated to him how many descendants he would have by leading him out to see the stars and telling him to count them. BUT just before this took place, Abram had confronted the Lord in Genesis 15:2, “And Abram said, Lord God, what wilt thou give me, SEEING I go childless…”

Abram looked at his current circumstances, and as a result, SAW himself without child. But God knew His plan and gave him an image—the stars in the sky—in order to keep Abram’s attention on the promise from God. It was not long after this that God changed his name from Abram to Abraham because the word, Abraham, means “father of many nations.” Why? Because WORDS MATTER!

You see, words produce an image on the inside of you, and we know that what we see is where we will go. If you grew up hearing words of lack, debt, defeat, etc., then more than likely that is the only image you had of what your life would look like. But God, through His Word, has provided an image of what He desires your life to look like, and defeat and failure are nowhere in His plan.

If you are like me, you want your life to look different at the end of this year than it does today, and your words determine whether or not you stay where you are or move on into the fullness of all God has planned for you.

The businesswoman I mentioned earlier simply took a step of faith, putting the Word in her mouth, which developed an image of what her business could do in 2014, and experienced exactly what she said—the power to produce wealth.

So where do you want to go in 2015? What do you want your life to look like at the end of this year? The formula is found in Joshua 1:8, and putting the Word in your mouth is the first step to getting there.

P.S. I want to bless you with a message entitled Words Produce Images. It is part of a CD series entitled Imagination. This message will encourage you to dig deep into YOUR heart and experience the plan God intended for your life. MP3

P.P.S. At the end of this month, I will be travelling with a missionary in Nigeria to some high-risk areas for Christians. Will you pray for us as we break new ground for the spread of the Gospel?
